How to backup and restore Windows in 10 Minutes

The basic problems that we face when our windows get corrupt is the long time requirement for its restoration and the tedious methods required. Reinstalling our windows with commonly used software or basic drives can take hours. With software like “Acronis True Image,” one can shorten the time required. “Acronis True Image” is an application software that creates backup data and restores the data when required. Acronis True Image enables you to backup logical device, storing your window’s flies along with other installed software’s. When your windows gets corrupt by any virus of any kind, Acronis restores your operating system back to the stage when you last made a backup. While creating a backup, you must first make sure that the file you are backing up is created in some other storage devices. Else, there may be a risk of the backed up file getting corrupted or destroyed.

 STEPS FOR CREATING A BACKUP:
  1. Turn on your system with the Acronis bootable CD.
  2. At the boot menu, select the Acronis True Image option. Your system will reboot using Acronis True Image media.
  3. A window option will appear, from the available options under the backup section, click on MY DISK to back up your System.
  4. On the screen, check the checkboxes representing files/folders that are to be backed up.
  5. Click next.
  6. Under the target selection section, on the target backup achieve window, select “Create a new Backup”.
  7. Click on “Browse button” under the Backup location section.
  8. On the dialog box, browse for a location for the new backup file and name the file.
  9. On the target backup achieve window, click NEXT to continue.
  10. Then click proceed
  11. Then wait and relax until Acronis creates the backup of your system.

 HOW TO RESTORE YOUR SYSTEM

  1. Turn on your system with the Acronis bootable CD.
  2. At the boot menu, select the Acronis True Image option. Your system will reboot using the Acronis True Image Media.
  3. A window option will appear, from the available options under the backup section, click on My Disk to recover your system.
  4. On the next window, click browse to locate the backup file. TIB extension.
  5. Click next when done.
  6. On the recovery method window, click on the Recover Disk button.
  7. Click next when done.
  8. On the screen, check the checkboxes representing files/folders that are to be recovered.
  9. Click on NEXT.
  10. On the next stage, leave everything as default and click on NEXT.
  11. Then click on proceed to start the recovery process.
  12. When you are done, remove the Acronis bootable device from the system and restart the computer normally.
